Vanessa Figueiredo

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Regina, where I lead the ExplorAI Research Group.

My research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on the following areas:

Before joining the University of Regina, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta and the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia. I hold a PhD in Information Science (Human-Computer Interaction) from the University of British Columbia, where I was part of the Designing for People research cluster in the Department of Computer Science.

If you' re interested in joining my research group, please visit ExplorAI Research Group page to learn more about ongoing projects and application processes. Prospective students are encouraged to review the information provided there before reaching out.
